Online Registration for the 2021 HSE Global Scholarship Competition Now Open

Starting May 25, foreign citizens who are preparing to apply to Bachelor’s programmes at HSE University can sign up for the HSE Global Scholarship Competition – 2021

HSE University will hold its Eighth Competition for the 2020/2021 academic year - from October 22 to October 29.

Participation in the HSE Global Scholarship Competition – 2021 (GSC – 2021) is free of charge.

GSC – 2021 participants may choose between on-campus (offline) and off-campus (online) modes of participation.

Foreign (non-Russian) citizens and stateless persons are invited to take part in the competition, including:

- high-school students in the 10^th or in 11^th grades (or in the 11^th or 12^th grades for those pursuing a 12-year school programme);

- learners who have graduated from international comprehensive schools or are currently studying in international colleges and are under 30 years of age.

Foreign citizens residing in Russia who are under 30 years of age are also invited to take part in the competition.

The GSC covers the following subject fields: English, Asian Studies, Design, Journalism, History (World History), Cultural Studies, Mathematics, Media Communications, International Relations, Law, Psychology, Advertising and Public Relations, Social Sciences (Person. Society. State), Modern Politics, Physics, Philology, and Philosophy (please note that competitions in the following subjects are held in Russian only: Advertising and Public Relations, Design, and Philology).

All prospective participants in the HSE Global Scholarship Competition – 2021 must register online between May 25 to October 12, 2020.

Competition winners who apply to HSE University in 2021 will be entitled to a full Russian Government scholarship (within a quota) to study in one of the University's Bachelor’s programmes, provided that they comply with the application requirements, which will be available on the HSE Global Scholarship Competition’s website in December of this year.

Competition participants will have the opportunity to apply for scholarships and grants, which will allow them to obtain tuition discounts.  

GSC - 2021 outcomes will be valid for admission at HSE University for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic years.

The competition offers potential applicants the opportunity to not only acquire new knowledge and skills in subject areas and independently prepare for the competition by using demo versions of assignments  on the website, but also learn about the University’s undergraduate programmes.
